Watchdog Waterproofing Versus Air Gap and Tar Damp-proofing

Watchdog Waterproofing is offered at a lower cost than air gap, peal and stick or torch on and yet it has better performance and warranty! 

While the initial cost of spray-applied waterproofing may be greater than tar damp-proofing, the benefits far outweigh the minimal cost difference. 

Tar damp-proofing is typically sprayed only 6 - 12 mil thick, about the thickness of a business card.  The backfill process can damage coatings and compromise their effectiveness before the project is even completed.

Over time, sprayed tar becomes brittle and cracks along with the concrete as it shrinks and expands.  Tar leaches into the perimeter drains and surrounding soil, and contributes to the pollution of ur waterways. 

Long-Lasting Foundation Waterproofing

Watchdog Waterproofing can be built easily to up to 60 mil wet, with exceptional hang strength.  Watchdog is tough and stands up to the backfilling process. When the concrete foundation cracks, the membrane's flexible strength allows it to span the gap and maintain it's protection against water infiltration.

Watchdog is a sprayed, polymer-enhanced asphalt membrane and does not break down and leach into the soil.
